![]() Blog: Tech Perspectives Natalia Smishko joined nCircle in 2006 as a mid-Atlantic Field Engineer, with a focus on the needs of the Federal Government and the DoD. She began her security career at Riptech, where she conducted correlated intrusion traffic analysis. While at Riptech, Natalia also gained experience building and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems for various enterprise clients and their unique networks. Following Riptech, Natalia became a DoD contractor and joined the post-9/11 Command Communications Survivability Program at the Pentagon. After 3 years deploying and managing a new network security infrastructure, Natalia took an interest in the proactive side of network security. She joined nCircle to work with the DoD and Federal Government to demonstrate the value and necessity of the proactive security management approach.
