First Patch Tuesday of 2007

So that time is upon us again... Microsoft's monthly patch release. They had originally planned for 8 updates, and then dropped down to only 4... I was curious to see how many would make it out today and it was only the 4.

3 for Office and 1 for Windows.

  • Vulnerability in Microsoft Office 2003 Brazilian Portuguese Grammar Checker Could Allow Remote Code Execution (921585) - MS07-001

  • Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Excel Could Allow Remote Code Execution (927198) - MS07-002

  • Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Outlook Could Allow Remote Code Execution (925938) - MS07-003

  • Vulnerability in Vector Markup Language Could Allow Remote Code Execution (929969) - MS07-004

It doesn't look like there's anything overly exciting... I'd actually call it a slow start to the year... but we've got 11 more months of this to come and 11 unpatched vulns still floating around (according to the SANS ISC "Missing Microsoft Patches" table). So let's see what happens.
