closed forum? what are you trying to hide? also, "You may be contacted by nCircle to verify your identity before your registration is approved." so much for not being under your control.
these things work better when they are open. just like software.
i am a customer, but refuse to register. since the agreement on that site implies you are sharing my customer information with a third party.

The forum is NOT affiliated or controlled by us. If you want to confirm, do a whois on the domain and give them a phone call ;)
Perhaps the people running the forum chose to ask us to verify that folks actually are customers... so that it's actually legit people and doesn't get spammed or crapflooded? I dunno. We have alot of sensitive customers and it would appear that they want to 'keep it all in the family', if you will. Given that you have concerns about 3rd party information leakage, I'm sure you understand.
Furthermore I fail to see how you came to the determination "...the agreement on that site implies you are sharing my customer information with a third party". I see that implication nowhere; please don't engage in fear-mongering where there is no cause to.
If I'm wrong, I'll eat my shorts, and provide photographic evidence! :)
